After all, that’s what they’re telling us we should conclude when mostly white people show up:

mika-brzezinski andrea-mitchellschultzDShustertdy_vieira_matthews_070305_standardKeith-Olbermann-738702Rachel-Maddow-08

One usually has to attend an albino Osmond reunion that’s being held in a blizzard to find something this infused with whiteness. It’s a serious Caucasian Occasion when you have to point to a Polack in your ranks to claim some diversity cred. (Relax, I’m a Polack, I’m allowed to use the word.)

Times are tough for the Showered Hippie network these days. As mentioned in the previous post, the glory days of the progressive left were supposed to be in full swing by now. MSNBC had gone out on a limb and positioned itself as the official mouthpiece of the progressives and assumed it would be swimming in success along with the policies for which it has so relentlessly advocated.

The policies, however, have been dismal failures to this point and the network routinely loses in the ratings to shows like The Real Housewives of Cellulite Drive and America’s Got Chlamydia. So the stars of the network have been looking for ways to boost their numbers. This week’s trick has involved a full court press to get a race war going in America.

After several weeks of trying to paint opponents of President Obama’s version of health care reform as racists and not getting much traction, MSNBC has decided to go all in and convince the American public that we’re homicidal racists.

I kid you not, a guy who looked exactly like an Ewok was on Hardball yesterday likening the mindset of any conservative who tries to rally others against Obamacare to that of a murderer. Tingly Leg Matthews merely grunted his slobbery assent. He then showed the pictures of the FEW people who were dumb enough to bring guns (albeit legally) to any of the protests. (I’m still waiting for someone to investigate and find out how many of the incendiary sign bearers and/or gun toters are plants from the left.) Matthews’ illegitimate half-brother, Keith Olbermann has been adding to the violent racist hyperbole pile all week too. The two even got an assist from the Botox Hag yesterday, who said she was worried that the current tone was too much like the turmoil she experienced in the 70′s in San Francisco. As she hadn’t called protesters un-American or Nazis for almost two whole weeks, Pelosi felt that she was absolved of any contribution she might have made to the “coarsening of the dialogue”.

It doesn’t take much imagination to see that the MSNBC hosts are just aching for one whack-job to do something awful so they can have a big “See! I told you so!” party. Unlike the caution David Shuster (White Guy #6,407 over there) urged when attributing motive to the killer who recently murdered a pro-life activist, you can be sure they’ll waste no time telling us that any loon who does something that fits their narrative is representative of all conservatives.

What would be most helpful is if one of the prominent African-American MSNBC show hosts cautioned everyone to take it down a notch because incitement to racial violence is a bit too scary to be used as a ratings ploy.

If MSNBC ever hires one, I’m sure he or she will do just that.

(Note: Trolls, please spare me the “But what about Fox News (or even CNN)!” crap. The other networks aren’t the ones hammering the “Mostly White People Involved=Racist” equation all day long.)

msnbc is NOT saying they are racist because they are white. msnbc is saying they are racist because they have pictures of Obama as a witch doctor, or slogans about Obama’s gorilla ancestry.

Only a fool is unable to see that an element of the left is calling an ELEMENT of the right “racists” in their opposition to Obama. After seeing the signs at the Teaparty rallies including witch doctor photos, the comparisons of Obama to zoo animals and the “Go Back to Kenya” signs, it”s difficult to argue with that premise.

    Dave-
Thanks for focusing on the flippant stuff and completely ignoring the bulk of the post, which is about MSNBC pathetically trying fabricate a race war that isn’t happening. Just as I approved your comment, Chris Matthews began his show by “examining the role that race may be playing in the anger on the right”. It really is sick.

    Stephen –

You don’t see an element of racism in those placards?

  5. Stephen on September 18th, 2009 at 2:23 pm

The “element” on the right truly is fringe. A dozen or so people out of tens of thousands. As I stated in the post, many of those could have been sabotage plants (it’s happened before and it’s already been shown that many of them were Lyndon Larouche freaks). The “element” on the left who has run with the accusation has, in no particular order, included: The New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, The Huffington Post, Daily Kos and the Washington Post. I’ll wager that I’ve been monitoring more of this than you have. Rarely are any qualifying words like “some” or “a few” used when describing the idiots with the racist signs. A deliberate effort is being made (esp. by Olbermann) to portray the fringe of the fringe as representative.

Only a fool wouldn’t have noticed that by now.

“A dozen or so people out of tens of thousands”

A dozen? And some of those are plants? I’ve heard them in interviews. If they’re plants, they’re eligible for an Adademy award.

“Rarely are any qualifying words like “some” or “a few” used when describing the idiots with the racist signs.”

Thank you for acknowledging the racism.

    Stephen,

Did you happen to see on MSNBC the clip of a man with an automatic weapon over his shoulder and a pistol on his hip at one of the Tea Parties? They talked about growing racial tensions and possible violence. They were very careful only to show his torso with weapons prominently displayed.

Well, Fox happened to have a camera in the same place at the same time. Turns out, our violent, racist, nutjob was a BLACK man. Now, I’m not encouraging ANYONE to bring weapons to a public gathering, but as you stated, it’s not illegal.

The real problem, in my view, is that MSNBC seemed to have no problem using this cropped image to incite people against others who happen not to agree with current policies.

remember i was at the gym after the tiller murder and olberbite was talking about how his murder was Rush Limbaugh’s fault or some other talky-con.

MSNBC ratings fall to those of shows like The Real Housewives of Cellulite Drive and America’s Got Chlamydia –

    Heh, with a capitol H!!

There really will not be an end to the racist diatribe, will there?

Okay,I give — a sign portraying Obama as a witch doctor suggests that it’s creator has prejudiced leanings. So what? It’s A sign, carried by someone who has no authority or power to act upon his less-than-P.C. leanings. It’s also kind of clever in the respect that witch doctors, stereotypically, induce their “cures” through “magic” or through nothing of any real substance — which is how Obamacare appears to be funded at this point. Would it be preferable to see the Young President caricatured as a duck? You know — a “quack?” Or would that be evidence that: (A) Obama = duck; (B) duck = game waterfowl to be shot and consumed by the hunter; therefore, (C) Obama = target of gun-crazed cannibals?

Oops. Sorry, Second Amendment — I just gave MSNBC its next story line. My bad.

    Steven,
Have you seen this flow chart? It will help you determine if you are a racist: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/09/024552.php

    Keep up the good work!

Not only are the all white, but sexist as well. Only two women hosts in the lot.
