President Obama has assured his bobble heads that health care reform won’t add anything to the deficit. It’s difficult to figure out how a bill that costs somewhere just south of a trillion dollars is going to be deficit neutral. But bureaucrats have a mathematical principle available to them that we regular folk aren’t allowed to use. It’s called calling it something else.
President Obama has made serial promises that he will not sign a health-care bill that “adds one dime to our deficits, either now or in the future, period.” This was never plausible, but now we can begin to understand what he meant: Democrats plan to make ObamaCare “deficit-neutral” by moving nearly a quarter-trillion dollars off the books, in the fiscal deception of the century.
Later this week, or maybe next, Senate Democrats plan to vote on a stand-alone bill that strips a formula that automatically cuts Medicare physician payments out of “comprehensive” health reform. Rather than include the pricey $247 billion plan known on Capitol Hill as the “doc fix” as part of ObamaCare, they’ll instead make this a separate contribution to the deficit, without compensating tax increases or spending cuts.
How freakin’ cool is that? Take the $247 billion you’re spending on something and simply tell everyone that you aren’t really spending it on that.
Read this whole article. There’s a lot going on here and none of it is good. The end result is that the money gets to be spent, the deficit-neutral crap manure gets spread around even more and the AMA will shut its f-ing pieholes and back this mess.
So now Democrats are simply going to “untether” this spending on doctors from ObamaCare, hiding even more of its true costs. At a meeting on the Hill last week, Mr. Reid and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel made the quid pro quo explicit, telling the AMA and about a dozen specialty societies that in return for this dispensation they expect them to back ObamaCare, no questions asked.
Awesome, we can drive the country off a cliff in nicer cars now that the physicians have joined the caravan.
I’m sure that this will be the most transparent, ethical government ever once they’re able to wrap up the important, sleazy back room dealings and repackage them in a way that makes it seem like they’re not really lying to the public.
Hope. Change. It’s out there, people.

I don’t have much of a political background, but this administration seems to be the most despicable, underhanded, dirty dealing….I know other administrations have done really dirty things (not really talking about Monica) but I don’t remember them being so public about it. Is this the effect of social media or am I just barely waking up?
