Why even teach journalism any more, they’re just making it up all the time now.

Only through the magic of a mainstream media that has built up an immunity to embarrassing itself can George W. Bush be portrayed as eternally stupid and a more gaffe prone guy who got worse grades in college be thought a genius. One has to wonder: if we drug tested at the polls would any Democrats be allowed to vote?

Al Gore steps onto the portico of his century-old white colonial, its stately columns framing him and the black Lab mix, Bojangles, that he and his son rescued from a shelter as a birthday present for Tipper. Dressed in blue jeans and a button-down shirt open at the collar, Gore looks younger than his 61 years: the mountain-man beard he grew in the wake of the Florida recount debacle of 2000 is long gone, and the extra weight, which hung on several more years, is nowhere in evidence. Nor are the trappings of office, unless you count an electronic gate at the bottom of his circular driveway in the wealthy Nashville neighborhood of Belle Meade. When he travels—as he does about one quarter of the time, often to train volunteers to give the slide show that formed the core of An Inconvenient Truth—it is with no more than one aide, and he pulls his own luggage.

The bar is so low on the Left that pulling one’s own luggage is bragging point. Hey, I pull and pack my own luggage-make sure the Nobel Committee has my number.

Despite suffering one of history’s worst political fates, Gore has by no means given up on politicians.

Remember, the publication is called Newsweek, presumably because calling it Beating A Dead Horse Full Of Lies Week makes for a cumbersome logo.

Those of us who have fully recovered from our head injuries think Al Gore is more of a whore than a prophet when he’s giving his “Floaty the Polar Bear” Power Point presentation.

The man is a reprehensible, lying media creation who, if allowed to continue spreading his fairy tale, will do more to annihilate the United States economy than if he’d been elected president.

But at least I can say things like that without being called a racist, gotta give the guy some credit.
