A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 59% of U.S. voters plan to get most of their political news in 2010 from television. That number includes 37% who will rely on cable news networks and 22% who will turn to traditional TV network news.
Twenty two percent are still watching traditional networks? Was the bulk of this sample made up of nursing homes?
Actually, this reinforces the bias fears we on the right still have. It’s impossible to make a case for fairness when discussing CBS, ABC or NBC. Jake Tapper is the only journalist still working for any of them. The rest are even more pathetic hacks than the lobotomy trust over at MSNBC because they still feign impartiality.
Many of my liberal friends dismiss my claims of bias because they say no one is paying attention any more. That is clearly not the case. If over half of the electorate is relying on the tube for political info you’re going to end up with a very uninformed electorate.
Which, of course, suits most of the idiots in Washington who are hell-bent on killing the representative republic just fine.
